How to get the right mindset about blogging

The biggest problem facing new bloggers is that they believe all the best spots have been filled.

It is normal for someone to think that they might not be a successful blogger because there are already people dominating their niche.
What you need to realise is that every single blogger OR company out there has competition.

Take a law firm for instance…How many law firms do you think there are in your city?
Even with all those law firms, you still have thousands of law students graduating every year, people don’t quit studying law because they feel that there are too many lawyers, in fact I think more people are studying law these days than 10 years ago.

I am also subscribed to, not one, but 5 different “daily deals” (like Groupon) mailing lists, not because I like spam, but because they all offer different deals. I find all of them valuable even though they share the same business strategy.

What I am trying to say here is that you shouldn’t give up on blogging just because you fear that you might not get anywhere, do what everyone else does but add something unique to it, and offer people something that they don’t get from the other bloggers.
